A school attendance system built for Ghana

Attendee replaces paper registers with fingerprint check-in at the classroom door. Attendance is recorded as it happens, keeps working when the internet drops, and is ready for reports whenever you need it.

Why paper registers fail schools

Paper registers are cheap, but they are easy to fake and slow to total. A friend can sign for a friend. Sheets get lost. At the end of term someone has to count marks across many pages, and mistakes are normal.

By the time a pattern of absence shows up on paper, the term is over and there is nothing left to fix.

How Attendee works in a Ghanaian school

  • A fingerprint terminal at the classroom door verifies each student.
  • The teacher starts the class on the dashboard and ends it when the lesson is over.
  • Attendance appears live and is saved for reports.
  • Students can see their own attendance, and are sent an SMS when their semester report is ready.

Made for unreliable internet and power

Devices keep recording when the connection drops and upload when it returns. Every record has a unique ID, so nothing is counted twice, and the earliest scan wins if two devices disagree.

For SHS, universities and vocational institutions

Attendance is organised by course, session and semester, with sections such as batch A to D, so it fits both school and university timetables.

Reports you can act on

  • Students at risk of falling behind
  • Examination eligibility
  • Department roll-ups
  • Export to PDF or Excel

Questions people ask

The best system is the one your staff will use every day. Attendee is designed for Ghanaian schools: fingerprint check-in, devices that work offline, and reports you can export to PDF and Excel. Request a demo to see whether it fits your school.

Yes. Devices keep recording and upload when the connection returns. Each record has a unique ID, so duplicates are ignored.

Yes. Scans are done on a fingerprint terminal. We support Hikvision access terminals and an edge client for a small computer with a fingerprint sensor.

Access depends on role. Administrators manage the whole school, teachers see their own classes, and students see their own attendance.

Request a demo. We will talk through your classes, the number of terminals you need and a realistic timeline, then send a quote.
