Letting students see their own attendance
Most students find out how many classes they have missed at the end of the term. By then there is nothing left to fix.
Show it while it still matters
When a student can open their own record and see which classes they attended, a missed class is a fact they can act on, not a surprise on a result sheet.
Keep the record fair
A fingerprint scan is a clear record. If a student believes a record is wrong, they can raise a dispute and a lecturer can review it.
Tell people when the report is ready
An SMS with a link, sent when the semester report is ready, brings students and lecturers back to the full results without anyone chasing them.
Start with the basics
You do not need a long programme. Make attendance visible, make it fair, and tell people when the report is out.
